Friends of Riverside Park are a group of committed volunteers working towards improving the park for the use of the whole community. We are involved in planning the future of the park, as well as keeping what we already have in good shape.
We hope that by involving the community to help make decisions about the park, we will help ensure the future of the park is a bright one.
Walks in the park
We were successful in obtaining funding from Paths for All to produce pathways within riverside Park.
We set up a competition to which the general public were asked to come up with names for the paths. This was achieved and we are delighted that ten walks in Riverside Park are now ready for the community to use.
A leaflet showing a description, length and terrain of the walks are now available at different points within the park.
To download and see the walks - find, then click on the buttons [ Walks 1 - 6 ], [ Walks 7 - 10 ] or [ Full Map ] on the right hand column of this screen (They may be below on some devices)
In 2019 the Fife Pilgrim Way was created and it's route passes through Riverside Park.

FORP Dates
Our previous secretary -Pam - always said she would like to be remembered with a bench so park users could rest their weary legs. The Friends installed a bench in her memory at the top of a sloping path. It is dedicated to Pam who was known as 'The Squirrel Lady' as she was often there feeding the birds and squirrels.
